Same great service!

Just a new name and an updated look.

I have some exciting news to share about Atglen Veterinary Hospital. As you may know our team has been providing outstanding care to you and your pets for over 40 years under the leadership of Dr. Chip Ewing. He has recently made the decision to retire and to pursue more family time, traveling and other passions. We are incredibly grateful for all that he has done to build the team and the practice. We wish him the best in his retirement!

My passion is in providing the absolute best veterinary care to your pets so they can lead long and healthy lives.
— Ashley Tuma, Owner

As the new owner I want to assure you that my passion is in providing the absolute best veterinary care to your pets so they can lead long and healthy lives. Myself and my team believe strongly in the human-animal bond and understand the unique way that pets can touch and positively impact our lives. We feel that the services we offer should continue to earn your trust each and every time you visit our hospital. Based on this common set of values, we expect the transition to be a smooth one for you and your pets.

I have been practicing veterinary medicine and preparing for practice ownership for many years. I grew up in Quarryville and obtained my bachelor’s degree in Zoology from the University of Maryland, College Park. I attended Ross University on the island of St. Kitts for veterinary school and spent my senior year at the University of Illinois completing my DVM degree. Prior to joining Atglen Veterinary Hospital in 2017, I worked in several small animal clinics, mostly general practice, but have also done emergency medicine and worked for one of the largest no-kill shelters in the country. I enjoy spending time with my husband and two kids, soon to be three, and doing anything outdoors; hiking, playgrounds, swimming, and traveling to new places. I also have a dog named Etty and two cats: Kiki and Moo!

While we will continue to provide great care for your pets, we know that we must also be looking for ways to evolve and improve. We are investing in new equipment; a new dental unit, in house blood analyzers, an ultrasound, digital dental radiology unit. These upgrades will provide quicker results to begin treatment sooner & offer quality care right here.

Our name is also changing to Pine Creek Animal Hospital - but you already knew that, because you are here.

I want you to know I will be devoted to serving you and your beloved pets with the same quality of care you have come to expect. I know you will join me in wishing Dr. Ewing a happy and well-deserved retirement. I look forward to seeing you and your companions during your next visit.
