RAYMOND L. EWING, JR., VMD
Founder / Veterinarian
Dr. Raymond Ewing’s first job was that of a grave digger in a pet cemetery associated with Millar Animal Hospital in Oakhurst, New Jersey. The practice owner, Dr. Joseph Millar became a mentor to him and guided and encouraged him as he progressed through a Biology degree from Lafayette College to a VMD from the University of Pennsylvania. After working at a practice in South Jersey and as track Veterinarian for the Delaware Park Racing Association, he started Atglen Veterinary Hospital as a home office in 1975. After 10 years, a separate office was established at the current location and the practice grew, allowing for the addition of associate Veterinarians and an excellent, loyal and longstanding staff. The facility was renovated and doubled in size in 2005, and the entire staff continues to offer superior care for all pets and the humans attached to them.
In his free time Dr. Ewing enjoys fly and surf fishing, chasing foxes on horseback, playing with his grandchildren and spending time at the beach with Wendy, his wife of 40+ years.
